Thank you for expressing interest in supporting Emmaus Christian College through volunteering.

As a school we are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our students. As such, there are some basic requirements for becoming a volunteer.

1. Read and sign the Volunteer Agreement

Please complete and sign the Volunteer Agreement. As part of this, there are some policies and procedures we need you to be aware of:

Volunteer Policy

Volunteer Procedures

Volunteer Behaviour Code of Conduct

Please also read familiarise yourself with our other policies available on our website.

2. Obtain your Working with Children Check (WWCC)

All volunteers at the College are required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC). If you don't yet have one, please visit the SA Government website or apply here.

These are free for volunteers. If you need assistance with the application process, please contact us.

3. Complete the Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Training (if required)

Many volunteering opportunities at the College require you to complete a free online course - Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC). This online course takes two hours to complete and is required if you are working directly with children or would like to volunteer in an ongoing capacity. The College highly recommends that the course is completed by all volunteers.

Once you have completed the Volunteer Agreement, and have received your Working with Children Check, please send copies of both documents to volunteer@emmauscc.sa.edu.au.

If you have completed the Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training, please provide us with a copy of your certificate for our records. We’ll then add your names to our volunteer register, and a relevant staff member will be in touch to get you involved.

If you have any questions, please contact us on volunteer@emmauscc.sa.edu.au or call 8292 3888
