Strength in Community
Emmaus Christian College truly values the
strength of community. Community as a whole thrives when members come together
for the benefit of all.
"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ... Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27 (NIV)
Parent involvement is critical in building a
successful educational community where Christian faith and life are seen as
usual. Parents, students, and staff live and abide in
community, serving God our Saviour and caring for those around us. We value our wonderful, caring community who provide
valuable opportunities for parents and friends to meet and engage while
supporting the activities of the College and its programs.
College Community Events
Our College community is strengthened through events and celebrations. The ECG support our community events through a range of ways such as planning, organising, encouraging parent volunteers, preparing meals or encouraging parents who may be new to the Emmaus community.
During the last two years, some key events supported by the ECG were:
- Parent Rep facilitated class events
- Instrumental Evenings
- Mothers' Day Gift stall
- Fathers' Day Breakfast
- Junior Primary Twilight Sports Meet
- Sports Days
- Years 3-6 Sports Day BBQ
