Candice and Josh Hanchett - Parent Rep and Assistant Parent Rep

Hi, my name is Candice, I am your class rep for this year. I am married to Josh and we have four beautiful children. Their names are Judah, Liberty-Rose, Jethro and Joel. We love Jesus and people and we are privileged to be pastors at Coastlands Church. I am a school teacher and I taught at Emmaus ELC over the last two years. At the moment I am blessed to be at home caring for my family. I love singing, painting, baking, sewing, exercising and snuggling up with the family for movie nights! I look forward to getting to know you and your families more this year!

Christie Wood - Parent Rep

Hi I’m Christie, Mum of our little Caleb. Caleb has two older sisters; Anniah (Year 5) and Elliora (Year 3). I’m wife to Adam, who you might know as the Chaplain at Emmaus. We also have three little fur-balls, two of them are mischievous kittens. When I don’t have my Mum or Wife ‘hat’ on, I work in Marketing which is a rewarding creative outlet for me. I’m an optimist, coffee drinker, passionate about colour, and about Jesus. I’m looking forward to getting to know the other parents in our corner of Emmaus.

Diana Brenkley - Assistant Parent Rep

I'm Diana, wife to Josh, and mother to Elias (Year 4), Theodore (Foundation), and Israel (Izzy, 2 years old). I love talking loudly to people, flailing my arms, and meeting people in cafes to discuss the frivolous and the deep things of life over coffee and calories.

Bec Schaefer - Parent Rep

Hello, I'm Bec and my daughter Elia is in our class. Mark is my husband and we also have Tali in Year 3. We live locally in a house that is very slowly transforming through renovations. I work through the week in customer service in community centres, and in a friend's shop in the Adelaide Hills. We are connected at Westlakes Christian Fellowship and value time spent with our friends and family, as well as being part of our children's school life!

Gabrielle Noble - Assistant Parent Rep

Hello, my name is Gabrielle. My oldest son Rupert is in Mrs Venter's class. My husband Andrew is an old scholar and we enjoy being a part of the Emmaus community. We go to church at Blackwood Hills Baptist Church. I work part time as a high school Science and Chemistry teacher. I enjoy spending time with my family, being at the beach, shopping and baking sweet treats. I am at school pickups most days, come say hi!

Kirri Collins - Parent Rep

Hi, I'm Kirri

Mum to Uriah (Year 1/2), Jobe (Foundation) and Micah who is still a preschooler home with me. I am a teacher currently working for the church our family attend, and caring for our boy tribe! My husband Nick and I love water sports on the River Murray, the football (go Carlton!) and taking our family camping around SA. I look forward to connecting with more Emmaus families as a Parent Rep this year!

Bek Reddin- Assistant Parent Rep

Hi my name is Bek and I’m Harvey’s mum. I also have Isaiah in Year 4 and Eva in Foundation. My husband Don and I both work for CityLight Church and I’m passionate about God, music and coffee.

I’m really excited to be joining with Kirri this year as your Parent Reps and I’m really praying that this year we can help facilitate great relationships between families. The past few years have been tough and it’s been a struggle to get to know one another but hopefully this year is our year!

Mel Scholefield - Parent Rep

My name is Mel Scholefield and I am the Parent Rep for Mrs Dragun's Year Two class. At Emmaus in our family, we have Charlotte in Year Two and Ethan in Year One with Mrs Venter.

I love being involved in the school community and getting to know families that are involved in our kids' lives. We love spending time at the beach, and with our extended families.

Monique Pringle - Parent Rep

Hi all, I’m Monique Pringle and I have Susannah in Year 8 Mangos, James in Year 6 Butler, and Emilia in Year 4 Smith.

We live a busy life with my work in social housing policy; our attendance at Trinity Church Colonel Light Gardens; music, robotics, dance and sport for the children.

I enjoy the community at Emmaus and hope to be able to meet more parents daily at school soon.

Anj Grierson - Assistant Parent Rep

Anji Grierson. Wife to Jared. Have four children schooling at Emmaus South Plympton. Have been a part of the Emmaus community for 9 years. Currently working in health. Looking forward to meeting new friends of Emmaus.

Maricel Becirovic - Parent Rep

Hello, my name is Maricel Becirovic, and I am pleased to be the Parent Representative for Denise Strybos’ Year 3/4 class. I am married to Azad, and we have two children both at Emmaus. My daughter Omariah is currently in Year 8 (Mrs DalSanto’s class), and my son LaMell is in Year 3 (Mrs Strybos’ class). As a family we love to go on regular bike rides, beach walks, and going on trips away with our family and friends. When I’m not working, my husband and I love being engaged in our kids’ sports, including swimming, gymnastics, netball, soccer and karate. I am thrilled to be a Parent Representative alongside Penny Window, and I look forward to assisting our school community where required and organising class catch ups to get to know everyone further.

Penny Window - Assistant Parent Rep

Hi, my name is Penny Window, and I have Charlotte in Mrs Wicks' class, Mitchell in Mrs Strybos' class and Ivy in Mrs Cooper's class. I love working as a relief teacher at Emmaus as well as running my side business with Rodan & Fields skincare company. Emmaus Christian College has always played a special role in my life since I was 21 and did my first teaching practical here. I love watching my children grow and learn in under the care of such loving and talented teachers.

Nicky Mumford - Parent Rep

Hello, my name is Nicky Mumford and I am excited to be one of the Parent Reps for Mrs V’s Year 3/4 class this year. For those who don’t know me, I am a mum to three children, Hannah, who is my Year 3, Madelyn who is four (nearly five) and Ari who is two (nearly three).

We live local, in North Plympton, and attend City Light Church. As a family we enjoy being outdoors, travelling and visiting with friends and family. I am excited to be the Parent Representative with Kate this year, and I look forward to getting to know everyone, arranging class catch ups, and assisting when needed.

Kate Wu - Assistant Parent Rep

My name is Kate Wu and I’m a full time mum of four. My husband Mark works full time running a property company. Grace and Samuel are in the Junior School, Jacob is in ELC and our toddler Joshua still gets along with me most of the time. Our family go to CityLight church to build up fellowships and worship God. We believe it’s very important to bring Christian values in their early years. We appreciate our school that continue to support those values in such hard days. We are proud of being an Emmaus family!

Pippa and Dave Edge - Parent Rep and Assistant Parent Rep

Hi parents and students, we are excited to be taking on the Parent Rep role for Mrs Butler's class in 2022. We are hoping our Emmaus school community can enjoy some fun social activities and celebratory events this year as we adjust to a lifestyle with COVID. We look forward to meeting with you when the opportunities arise and invite you to contact us with any questions, suggestions or ideas for gathering together. We have three children at Emmaus, Scarlett (Mrs Butler’s class), Savanah (Mrs Mangos' class) and Jesse (Mrs V’s class). Our family share a love of animals, sport, beaches, bush walks, outdoor and water activities and camping. We feel blessed to be a part of this amazing school community and are eager to spend some time with you all throughout the year.

Paul and Alison Miller - Parent Rep and Assistant Parent Rep

We are Paul and Alison Miller - Parent Representatives for Mr Cope's 5/6 Class for 2022. Our children are Samuel in Year 7 (Mrs Brookes) and Naomi in Year 5 (Mr Cope). We feel blessed to be part of Emmaus Christian College, as the wonderful staff are so encouraging and supportive towards our children, making it an environment in which they learn and thrive. We lead an enjoyable life as a family, and keep active with our various hobbies and interests, including bike riding, gardening, kicking a football and shooting a few baskets! We also enjoy playing music, and with Samuel on Cello and Naomi on Violin, along with Paul on Oboe and Alison on Cello, we can make music together! Our favourite card game is Canasta, and we play frequently together along with grandparents. We are looking forward to serving the school community as Parent Representatives this year, and our hope and prayer for each family is for good health and glad hearts in the coming year.

Eleanor Toubia - Parent Rep

Hi my name is Eleanor Toubia and my son is Nate, he’s in Year 6. I am the Parent Representative for Year 5/6 Mrs Wicks. Our family have four children and all our children have attended Emmaus. We are thankful for our school and the great opportunities they have had. I enjoy cooking, board games and movies. We attend Edge Church at Findon. I look forward to seeing you at school.
