A group of Senior students travelled to Mount Buller in Victoria's Alpine region for our annual combined snow trip with King’s Baptist Grammar School.
Upon arrival, after a safety briefing, students attended their first official lessons in skiing or snowboarding.
They had daily sessions with an instructor, learning various skills and tricks in their chosen discipline.
Hot chocolates, coffees, and teas were consumed in large quantities throughout the trip as the conditions were cool with frequent snowfall.
It was fascinating to see the mountain when the clouds cleared, revealing blue skies and making for enjoyable skiing weather.
We carved through the snow each day and even participated in night skiing, where a DJ played upbeat music to enhance the atmosphere.
Red Bull merchandise was handed out, and many snowballs were successfully thrown at both moving and stationary targets.
To recover from hours of skiing and snowboarding in temperatures between -12 and Zero degrees, students enjoyed fun together playing cards and board games in our private lodge.
It was a wonderful time together as students and staff developed and strengthened relationships.
All students and staff left the mountain with fond memories, photos, footage, and some sore spots. Mount Buller provided another great experience for us this year, and we look forward to returning in the 2025 Term 2 School Holidays.
