Course Summary
In Design, Technology and Engineering students use the design and solution realisation process to engineer solutions for the development of products or systems.
This subject aims for students to utilise various material handling and manufacturing skills to design solutions to meet industry requirements or create a product that meets a need or solves a problem. Students also develop Project Management skills through Design and Realisation processes. Students will undertake specialised skills tasks before completing a project combining the various skills acquired.

Course Content:
- Practical skill development tasks
- Identification of a need or problem
- Investigation of existing similar ideas toward possible solution(s)
- Sketches and Computer Aided Design of a proposed solution
- Physical production of the solution using various materials and techniques
