Why Emmaus?

Grounded in Christ
At Emmaus Christian College, our Christian faith underpins everything we do, shaping our teaching methods, pastoral care and behaviour management. Students deepen their faith through participation in Home Groups, assemblies, devotions and Christian Studies. Your child will experience an environment where their faith is as important as their academic achievements.
Dedicated teachers
Secondary students are part of a close-knit community. Our dedicated teachers care for each child and foster a strong community spirit within each Home Group, so your child feels seen, heard and valued.
Tailored career pathways
We are dedicated to giving our students the best opportunities, whether they’re aiming for tertiary study or work readiness. Our dedicated staff are passionate about finding the best career pathway options for your child and partnering with you as a family through the journey. Come and discover the wide range of subject offerings at Emmaus.
Excellent academic results
Our Year 12 results have outperformed state averages by 8.5% over the past 5-10 years. We are also ranked in the Top 10 Secondary schools as published by BetterEducation.com, and on average, 30% of our Year 12 students score in the top 10% of South Australia. We give glory to God for the continued success of our students.
Holistic wellbeing support
We recognise there can be significant challenges during adolescence so we have a dedicated Secondary Wellbeing team to support your child through their situation. Led by our Chaplain and Director of Faith Formation and Wellbeing, the team consists of qualified male and female counsellors.
Learning Support
At Emmaus, our teachers support all learning skills and backgrounds. Our dedicated team of Learning Support staff tailor their learning plans to suit each student's specific needs so they can reach their potential in the classroom.
