United in Mind and Thought

  • From the Head of Middle School

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 1 Corinthians 1:10

Middle School students have enjoyed competing in some House sports recently. With music in the background, the atmosphere during lunch time on the courts as students cheered on their friends was delightful. A number of staff gave up their lunch breaks in addition to their regular duties to umpire or support. Students scored and the buzz in the air was palpable.

My heart was warmed as I saw smiles on faces and it encouraged me to be deeply grateful for the beautiful community we are blessed and privileged to be part of. A community made of students, staff, parents, caregivers, grandparents, and more, all united in mind and thought to recognise Jesus as Lord and to serve one another humbly in love (Galatians 5:13).

As you go about your day, may you be blessed and take encouragement from the community God has placed you in. May your heart be warmed by the connection we have and the opportunity we have to spur one another on towards love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).
