In Term 1, we held our Sport Day Carnivals, Ruby won for Junior School and Topaz won for Middle/Senior School. Year 1-6 Water safety week was held in Week 10 of Term 1 with many students braving the weather conditions and getting in the pool to learn various aspects to stay safe or provide assistance for those in trouble in aquatic based environments. It was great to watch so many students persevere, conquer their fears and have fun with their friends in the pool.
On Saturday 30 April our U13, U15 and U17 SAUCNA Winter Netball Season resumed. Also, our new Winter Season sports on offer for Terms 2 and 3 are Soccer (Year 1-7), Netball (Year 1-12), Tennis (Foundation to Year 6) and Basketball (Year 1-12). There are coaching and officiating opportunities for weekly sports and if students are interested please email the Sports Department with your name and experience as they will be suitably remunerated for their time and efforts. Other sporting opportunities in Term 3 will likely include Badminton and Table Tennis, also competing against other schools and clubs. More information about these will be communicated in time.
