Brooklyn Park's 4th Annual Friendship Day

  • Brooklyn Park Campus

In Week 3, Term 3 our Junior Schools celebrated Friendship Day.

On Thursday, Director of URSTRONG, Tyson Greenwood taught the Foundation to Year 6 students how to be kinder and stronger friends with our South Plympton friends.

Students learned the four important friendship facts.

  1. No friendship (relationship) is perfect
  2. Every friendship is different
  3. Trust and respect are the two most important qualities in a friendship.
  4. Friendships change, and that's ok

Thank you, URSTRONG, for teaching the student valuable tips to be kinder and stronger friends.

Then on Friday, the Brooklyn Park Campus was filled with connection, kindness and belonging as our ELC to Year 6 students came together to celebrate friendship.

Students enjoyed games, crafts, team challenges, a dance party and this year's song "A Friend Like You", written by Mr Brockbank and taught alongside Mrs Shahrooei.

Friendship Day brought to life the skills students have been learning through URSTRONG Friendology 101, helping them build healthy friendships, navigate conflict and grow resilience.

A highlight was our fingerprint tree, symbolising that every student belongs and plays a part in creating a caring, inclusive community.

Thank you to our amazing staff for making the day so special!
