Course Summary:
How is hazard risk managed in areas prone to tropical cyclones? How prepared is the Adelaide Hills for a future bushfire? As Adelaide’s population grows and ages, how is urban planning making our city more liveable and sustainable? Are the needs of people being met in the world’s megacities?
In Year 11 Geography (one semester) we unpack these great questions facing the next generation of Geographers. Students will gain the knowledge, skills and hands-on experiences at Belair National Park and significant urban redevelopment sites, to make better sense of these relevant issues and the world around them.
