Congratulations to Matthew (Year 10) for being named the National Winner of the National History Challenge in the Asia and Australia category!
Matthew’s winning entry, a research essay titled “Refugees in the Vietnam War,” stood out among thousands of student submissions across Australia. This year’s Challenge theme, “Crisis and Response,” inspired students to explore pivotal moments in history with insight and depth.
As a part of this incredible achievement, Matthew has earned an all-expenses-paid trip to Canberra to receive his award and cash prize on 25 November.
Matthew's hard work and dedication are a testament to what can be achieved through curiosity and a passion for learning.
The National History Challenge encourages students to explore history through research and inquiry-based learning, deepening their understanding of the past and its relevance to the present.
