Congratulations to our Year 12 OzCLO Team who received the HIGHEST SCORE of all the SA Teams taking a shared Second Place at the National Competition on 24th March. Over 450 teams competed in the national online competition. A huge congratulations to students Erica, Jenna, Paul, Matthew and Ryan for their outstanding results and team effort.
The Australian Computational and Linguistics Olympiad (OzCLO) is a contest about language decoding for secondary school students. The contest challenges students to develop their own strategies in teams to solve problems about fascinating real languages, such as Latin and Ancient Chinese.
On 3 March, three Emmaus teams participated in a two-hour long National online competition against 450 Australian teams. Teams developed their own strategies to solve language-analysis problems about fascinating real languages such as “Beja”, “Waanji”, “Waama”, “Ogham” and “Sauk”.
Our Year 12 team were among the top three in SA who competed in the final Nationals round on Wednesday 24 March at Flinders University, City Campus.
